Privacy-first
Privacy Policy for the Booth Companion Plugin
This unlisted page outlines how the Booth Companion browser extension handles data, permissions, and your privacy.
Responsible Party
The Booth Companion extension is developed and provided by an independent individual. No personal data is transmitted to external servers, and no third parties are involved beyond the static exchange-rate file hosted on GitHub Gist.
Data Collected and Stored
All extension data stays on your device inside your browser storage:
- Custom exchange rate (if you manually enter one)
- Selected target currency
- Favorites and bundles overview data
- Owned items scan results to display Owned or Gift badges
- Avatar Matcher settings
- Theme and design preferences
This information never leaves your browser and is only used to power extension features.
Purpose of Data Storage
The extension stores data solely to:
- Maintain your preferences across Booth sessions
- Provide bundle and favorites calculations
- Highlight items you already own or received
- Support optional customization such as themes
Third Parties and External Services
- The extension fetches daily exchange rates from a static GitHub Gist file (
gist.githubusercontent.com). - No other data is transmitted to external servers.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking tools are used.
Permissions
The extension requests only the permissions required for its functionality:
- Storage – save your preferences, exchange rate, currency, favorites, owned items, and theme.
- Host Permission (
*://*.booth.pm/*) – read prices and product details on Booth pages to convert them into your chosen currency and display helper badges.
These permissions are not used to access unrelated browsing data.
Your Rights
Because no personal data is processed or transmitted, rights such as data deletion or portability do not apply. You can remove all locally stored extension data at any time by uninstalling Booth Companion.
